Rebecca Link
for
Town Council
This isn’t about personalities, it’s about principles. Residents have been clear for decades that they want Fort Myers Beach to stay true to its comprehensive plan — protecting our island’s character, scale, and future. That’s what I stand for, and that’s what I’ll fight to protect.
Rebecca Link
Rebecca is a business owner and longtime consultant with decades of experience leading multimillion-dollar projects across the country.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, she emerged as a trusted advocate for Fort Myers Beach residents—helping neighbors navigate red tape and fight for access to limited recovery resources.
Now, Rebecca is running for Town Council to ensure island residents have a strong, pragmatic voice at the table—one that always puts the community’s needs ahead of outside interests.

Protect
Committed to safeguarding the interests of residents as well as the environment from over development.
Preserve
Dedicated to maintaining the island's community character, local traditions, and quiet zone neighborhoods.
Prosper
Ensuring economic vitality through balanced support for residents, local businesses, tourism and responsible development.
Resident Focused
I am committed to serving at the pleasure of the residents—not myself, and not big developers.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, after losing two homes of my own, I stepped up to help others navigate the complex permitting and recovery programs. I simply wanted to do what I could to support my neighbors and help rebuild our community.

Advocate for Responsible Development
Residents shouldn’t shoulder all the burdens while developers reap all the rewards. When a project has a significant impact, developers must share responsibility for addressing those impacts.
That said, I’m not opposed to development—far from it. I welcome and encourage thoughtful growth on our island, including larger anchor projects that can strengthen our economy and community.
What matters is that development happens responsibly, with protections in place for our neighborhoods, infrastructure, and island character.

Promote Compromise & Conditions
If larger projects move forward, they must include clear conditions that protect nearby neighborhoods, infrastructure, and the unique character of our island — including impacts like traffic, parking, and safety.
Engaged and Accessible
I believe in open communication and accessibility for all residents. Not just during my campaign, but throughout the year, I will keep the lines of communication open and make sure every resident has a voice.
Let’s get together and talk about our community — at your home, your business, or over coffee. I want to hear what’s on your mind.

Let's Meet
If you or your neighbors would like to meet, send me an email or message. I’d love to stop by for an old-fashioned chat in the driveway — just like the old days.
I want to hear what’s important to you and your neighbors — your concerns, your ideas, and your hopes for our community.
